GreaterCapital was appointed to conduct an impact assessment of the work of the Awethu Project. As part of the assessment GreaterCapital conducted a combined assessment, in quantitative and qualitative terms, of the impact and implementation of Awethu Project’s entrepreneur programme, as well assessed the broader impact of the Awethu Project’s programme through exploring its effect on graduates’ households, as well as their local communities and local economies. GreaterCapital also explored the concept of ‘success’ and use that conceptualisation to ascertain how many Awethu Project graduates may be considered successful as well as conducted an organisational assessment of the Awethu Project to document the growth of the organisation and assess the impact of its activities.
